Beyonce and Naomi Campbell
The premiere of the video of 38-year-old Beyoncé for the song Brown Skin Girl, included in the album The Lion King: The Gift and which became the soundtrack for the movie “The Lion King”, took place on the network. In the video for the song praising the beauty of black women, the singer filmed her mother Tina, two daughters and several stars.
Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o, Kelly Rowland, Saint Jhn and WizKid appear in the video (the vocals of the latter two sound in the song). Beyoncé’s eldest daughter, eight-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, took part in the recording of the song, to whom this work brought several music awards. This year, together with her mother, she was among the winners of the BET Awards 2020, and a year ago she was awarded the Soul Train Music Awards.

In the Brown Skin Girl video, it was very important for me to show the variety of dark skin tones. We tried to make every character in this video look regal. It is also important that we are together, Beyoncé said.
Brown Skin Girl’s music video is part of Black is King’s visual album, which premiered this summer via Disney +.
