Today, the attention of the world press is riveted on the Grammy-2021 music award that ended a few hours ago in Los Angeles: they discuss the outfits of the stars from the red carpet, an incendiary show and, of course, the list of winners. In the new material, SPLETNIK.RU tells what exactly the prize is remembered for this year.
Once again, the singer Beyoncé was among the laureates. This time, the star set a record for the number of statuettes in her entire career, receiving prizes in two categories at once: “Best R&B Performance” and “Best Music Video”. Now in her collection will be kept as many as 28 awards, which she took away from the prestigious Grammy Awards.
But the rapper Megan Thee Stallion received a Grammy for the first time this year: she was named the best new artist of the year. She shared two more awards with singer Beyoncé for their hit duet song Savage.
The list of laureates of this year also includes a newcomer – a fashionable DJ from Kazakhstan named Imanbek Zeykenov. The young man, better known in the music scene as Imanbek, received the Best Remix of the Year award for his handling of the Roses track by rapper Carlos St. John.

The best moments of the ceremony
This year’s Grammy was opened by British musician Harry Styles, who emotionally sang his winning song Watermelon Sugar. The next bright impression of the evening was the performances prepared by Dua Lipa. First, the pop star appeared on stage in a luxurious dress from Versace, which literally in a few moments turned into a pink bathing suit. The number became even more spectacular thanks to the singer’s pink microphone, all covered with sparkling stones.
The musical numbers of one of the winners, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, were no less striking at the Grammy-2021. At first, she lit up on stage alone, and then Cardi B joined her, with whom they performed their hit WAP together. The audience was impressed not only by the girls’ vocals, but also by their sexy steps!
At the very end of the show, the super popular K-pop group BTS took the stage. The guys are no longer used to completing such shows: they previously performed at the Billboard Music Awards 2020 and at the American Music Awards 2020. The musicians traditionally sang one of their brightest hits Dynamite, accompanying the number with energetic dances.
