However, the coronavirus pandemic has made adjustments to these plans, and work on a new episode has been postponed indefinitely. This will be the first time that all six of Friends’ top stars, along with co-creators David Crane and Martha Kaufman, have come together since the show ends in 2004. In 2016, the reunion of the key characters of the series on the screens was already taking place, but then Matthew Perry, known to viewers for the role of Chandler Byng, did not take part in the filming.

What the new Friends series will be about

For now, the producers are keeping the details of the upcoming new episode of Friends a secret. It is only known that this will not be the return of the series in its classical sense, when all the stars of the show will appear in new scenes in the form of their iconic characters.

Instead, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer will take part in a kind of talk show, where they will share their memories and previously unknown details about the filming of the series.

David Schwimmer

At the same time, earlier David Schwimmer, known to fans for his role as Ross Geller, told in an interview about the secret for fans from the creators of the new episode of “Friends”. He did not disclose details, only specifying that there will be a moment when all the stars of the show will “read something.”

The shooting took place over three days in the same interiors and decorations that the audience has long loved. By the way, initially the creators of Friends had the idea to record a new episode in front of a live audience. Due to the antiquity measures, it was never possible to return to this idea.
